A bit about me: or MY WHY?
After over 30 years nursing and managing within the social care sector, being passionate about ensuring positive outcomes for our most vulnerable, I recognised the need for a real change.
I understood that the complexities and pressures within the managers role, and the expectations and demands from without can impact on both mine and others ability to deliver positive practice, relationships and person centred care.
For how can we truly deliver such care if we don’t support and ‘see’ those delivering that care, and that starts with those overseeing the delivery of care and carers. Improving communication and forging connections with a genuine interest.
Therefore to be able to influence change I needed to ‘get out’ of the ‘proverbial box’.
