A bit more about me:
With media focusing on failing care for those within the system, I felt that it was difficult to consistently improve the experience of those in care alongside government guidelines, local authority demands and public wishes if that care and support could not be also given directly to those who deliver that care.
I have been a registered nurse for the past thirty years + (St Thomas’s – Nightingale School of Nursing) over twenty years as a registered manager for nursing homes (RMA), the past 13 of 18 in the same home as registered manager.
Over the years as a registered manager within the private nursing home sector, apart from the very real role accountable to numerous agencies, but ultimately to our clients/consumers whichever you would refer to them as – my role has incorporated at various stages, over 50 different roles all of those roles listed later (here) and as such I would like to make an acknowledgement / recognition of the fact that this management role is very much different from others.
Yes, there is a saying that you may be ‘a Jack of all Trades and Master of None!’, but in this role you need a good working ability of all to do the job well.

Testimonials
What Do Others Say About Me?
“Libby has had a massively positive influence on my life over the last 4 years. She showed faith and belief in me, which I hadn’t seen in myself. She has helped mentor me as a person, and I’ll be forever grateful.

I would support her in anything she chose to do, and she has chosen wisely with her next life decision.”

“Elizabeth has been in the care world for many yrs and I have seen the dedication and care she has put into her job with no back up. I know it can be a very stressful environment that you need to keep your own health to be any good at helping others.
Fortunately, Elizabeth has been able to do this for herself with many commendations and lots of training over the years. So she is more than well equipped to help all those others that need some support at any time “.
